Adverse Effect (AE): an adverse reaction for human adverse health event attributable to the normal or reasonably foreseeable use of a cosmetic product.
Serious Adverse Effect (SAE): A serious adverse effect leading to hospitalization, permanent or temporary functional incapacity, disability, congenital anomalies, immediate life-threatening, or death.
GMP (BPF): Good Manufacturing Practices or Bonnes Pratiques de Fabrication.

Ingredient: Any substance or mixture intentionally used in the manufacturing of a cosmetic product.
Mixture: Solution consisting of at least two substances.
Nanomaterials: An insoluble or bio-persistent and intentionally manufactured material, having one or more external dimensions, or an internal structure, on a scale from 1 to 100 nm.
PAO: Period After Opening.
Substance: A chemical element and its compounds in its natural state or obtained through a manufacturing process, including any additive necessary to preserve its stability and any impurity resulting from the process used, but excluding any solvent which may be separated without affecting the stability of the substance or changing its composition.
CMR Substance: substances that are Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to reproduction (Reprotoxic).
